Graduates of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition may work in the following institutions and sectors:

  • The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry

  • The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change

  • Research Institutes

  • Agricultural Credit Cooperatives

  • Ziraat Bank

  • Private-sector banks

  • The State Hydraulic Works (DSİ)

  • Municipalities

  • Public and private soil and water analysis laboratories

  • Fertilizer factories

  • Private farms and greenhouses

  • Direct dealerships of seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals

  • Organizations such as TARİŞ, Trakya Birlik, FiskoBirlik, and TEMA

  • The Turkish Grain Board (Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi)

In addition, under Law No. 5403 on Soil Conservation and Land Use, only Agricultural Engineers who are graduates of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition are authorized to prepare Soil Survey and Mapping studies as well as Soil Conservation and Land Use Projects.
